Water baptism

Baptisms in Hazleton, PABuried and raised with Him

We hold water baptisms by immersion in the river several times a year. It is free, open to anyone who has given their life to Christ, and you do not need years in the church to take this step.

What it is

A decision made public

Baptism is not what saves you — it is what declares publicly that you already have been. It is the moment a person says, with their own body, that their old life has been buried and a new one has begun.

At Iglesia Maná Para Las Naciones we practice water baptism by full immersion, the way Jesus was baptized, and we do it in the river, outdoors, with the whole congregation watching from the bank.

There is no rigid minimum age and no required waiting period. What we do ask is that the decision be personal, conscious and free. Before the baptism you will have a conversation with the pastors to make sure you understand the step you are taking.

We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead, we too may live a new life.

Frequently asked questions

What you need to know

Does baptism cost anything?
No. Baptism and the preparation conversation are completely free. The church provides the white robe.
Do I have to be a member of the church?
You do not need years here. What we do ask is that you have given your life to Christ and that you understand what the step means.
What should I bring on baptism day?
Comfortable clothes to change into, a towel and sandals. We provide the white robe.
Do you baptize children?
We baptize those who can make the decision for themselves and understand it. For younger children we hold a dedication and blessing instead.
When is the next baptism?
Dates are announced at the Sunday service and by WhatsApp. Call +1 (347) 499-0639 and we will let you know about the next one.
Can my family come and watch?
Of course. Baptisms are a celebration: the whole congregation comes, along with as much family and as many friends as you want to invite.
