How it works

Study it, don’t just listen

Friday study is different from Sunday service. There is no preaching from a pulpit: there is a table, a passage, and a group of people reading it together.

We work through whole books of the Bible and through practical topics — family, forgiveness, money, anxiety, identity — always with the text in front of us. You can ask, you can doubt, and you can disagree.

It is ideal if you are new to the faith, if you come from another tradition, or if you have been in church for years and feel you never quite understood the Bible for yourself.

Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
Psalm 119:105

Frequently asked questions

Before you come

Do I need to bring my own Bible?
No. We have Bibles to lend during the study, and passages are projected on screen.
What if I know nothing about the Bible?
Even better. The study exists precisely for that: to start from zero without anyone making you feel bad for asking.
Is there a cost or do I need to register?
It is free and there is no registration. Just show up any Friday at 7:00 pm.
Can I bring my children?
Yes, families come together and there is always someone keeping an eye on the children.
What language is the study in?
Spanish. Our congregation is Hispanic and the whole study is held in Spanish.
